The core of the vCam series products is the vCam-6 Control Module. The control module is useable with the standard size reel for inspections in pipe up to 8 inches in diameter and 400 feet in length, or the mini size reel inspecting lines from 2 inches in diameter up to 150 feet in length. The vCam-6 control module has a 1-terabyte internal hard drive, a six-hour battery life internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery, three-frequency sonde, four-color with three-font text writer, and can be powered or charged by AC or DC. The vCam-6 control module mounts on top of the standard size Type-CP reel. The profile of the Type-CP reel is wide enough to roll without rocking and tipping and slim enough to go through doorways and gateways. The all-stainless steel construction reel is available in lengths of 200, 300 and 400 feet of 12 mm standard pushrod. This reel is also available in a municipal configuration with a stiffer, shorter spring and stiffer pushrod.

A popular accessory for the vCam-6 system is the smaller Type-MX Mini-Reel. The Type-MX reel is available in 100 or 150 foot lengths of 10 mm diameter pushrod. The Type-MX Mini reels size allows it to be used in a more confined area and for special applications such as on a rooftop through a roof vent. The smaller diameter pushrod used on the mini reel allows for inspection of smaller diameter lines from 1 1/2 to 4 inches. Two high-resolution cameras are available for the Type-MX reel.
